Supporting Newark Food Bank

In collaboration with Breheny Civil Engineering, ECL Civil Engineering Ltd. joined a campaign to help Newark Food Bank by donating £1000 each of groceries.

At the beginning of last week, the ECL team did a colossal supermarket shop, accumulating 20 crates of food. Then, last Wednesday (13th December), the ECL team comprising Tracey Penwright, Nigel Stretton, and Cristian Bain, along with James Bragg and Kalvin Swannell from Breheny, jumped in their heavy-laden vans and headed to the Food Bank.

As we arrived, we received a fantastically warm welcome from the team of volunteers who were incredibly grateful for the donations.

The weather conditions were bleak, but this didn’t phase the volunteers, who, with military precision, unloaded each van, approximately 40 crates in total.

Once the food was checked in and weighed, both ECL and Breheny teams chipped in to restock their half-empty shelves.

We want to extend a huge thanks to Breheny for its tremendous generosity and support during this joint effort.

We also want to thank the fantastic group of volunteers at the Food Bank who work tirelessly to ensure that those facing crisis in our local community do not have to face going hungry.

We genuinely value Newark Food Bank’s commitment to supporting the local community and making life a little bit brighter for hundreds of local children and families in the Nottinghamshire area, and we’re delighted we could offer a little help.
