EVERTON V LUTON TOWN MATCH DAY SPONSORS
ECL was incredibly proud to be able to offer its support by both sponsoring the event and attending the sell-out Everton v Luton match on 27th January.
Managing Director Steve Tysoe and HSEQT Director Barry Wright took along Dan Sheridan, Tudor Holt, Beau Pender, Myles Radwell, James Brennan, Joshua Knight, Isaac Troughton-Smith, Kai McArthur, Jacob Troughton-Smith and Liam Doran, some of the company’s most die-hard football fans. It was a fifty-fifty split regarding whose team the guys were backing.
Keen Everton fans were gunning for victory, and the remaining crew were eager to witness the Hatters reach the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time in 11 years. Steve Tysoe, ECL’s Managing Director and avid Everton FC supporter, commented,
“It was an incredible privilege to back the team and have the added luxury of touring the amazing grounds and player area pre-match.”
Liam Doran, Quantity Surveyor, added,
“It was a great experience to see what goes on behind the scenes at a Premier League football club.”
As the match play began, the game didn’t disappoint. Luton scored their first goal after 39 minutes when Vitalii Mykolenko turned Alfie Doughty’s corner into his own net. After that, Everton managed to even up the score. In added time, when it looked like a draw, Cauley Woodrow scored to steal victory, knocking Everton out of the FA Cup.
